My Journey to Chinese Medicine
My path to becoming an acupuncturist began in my early 20s when Chinese medicine helped me recover from a sports injury. As a lifelong athlete familiar with conventional rehabilitation, I was amazed by how effectively acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine accelerated my healing process. That experience sparked a passion that would define my career.
Education & Training
I graduated from Northwestern Health Sciences University with my Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine in 2009. My natural interest in treating pain and supporting orthopedic recovery led me to pursue extensive post-graduate training in:
- Sports medicine acupuncture
- Orthopedic treatment protocols
- Advanced manual therapy techniques
- Trigger point dry needling
Clinical Experience in Minnesota
For over a decade, I worked within the Allina Health system, specializing in chronic pain management across multiple Minnesota clinics. My experience treating complex pain conditions at the United Pain Center (until its closure in 2025) gave me invaluable insight into comprehensive, integrative pain treatment approaches.
Performance D.N.A. – My Richfield Practice
In early 2026, I opened Performance D.N.A. in Richfield, Minnesota—a space where I can fully integrate 15+ years of clinical experience and advanced training. Here, I create comprehensive, personalized treatment plans that combine:
- Acupuncture and dry needling
- Sports medicine techniques
- Chinese herbal medicine
- Manual therapy and bodywork
- Rehabilitation exercises
My multi-faceted approach gives patients the best opportunity for recovery, pain relief, and long-term wellness.
Teaching & Advanced Training
My clinic also serves as a teaching center for needling and manual therapy education. I’m passionate about advancing the field by offering continuing education courses to healthcare providers and students throughout the Twin Cities area.

Beyond the Clinic
When I’m not treating patients or teaching, you’ll find me spending quality time with my wife, son, and two spoiled cats. I stay active through gardening, cycling, Qi Gong practice, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) training.
