How Care Works at Performance D.N.A.

Care here isn’t open-ended. Every program has a clear structure, defined evaluation points, and an honest conversation waiting if progress isn’t being made. You’re not signing up for indefinite treatment — you’re committing to a process that has a beginning, a middle, and an end. What that end looks like depends on where you start and how your body responds. That’s what the first month is designed to find out.

Active Treatment Program

A structured, results-driven program for chronic musculoskeletal pain. Not open-ended care — every phase has a purpose, an evaluation point, and an honest exit if progress isn’t being made.

Phase 1 — Signal Check  |  Weeks 1–2

The first two weeks are the most clinically important. You’re seen twice a week. Treatment includes acupuncture, dry needling, manual therapy, and herbal medicine. At the end of two weeks your provider assesses whether your body is producing a measurable response to treatment.

If a clear response isn’t present, the program stops. You will have paid for two weeks of treatment. Your provider will have an honest conversation with you about what that means and what, if anything, makes sense next.

Phase 2 — Confirmation  |  Weeks 3–4

If the signal check is positive, treatment continues for two more weeks at the same pace. At the 30-day mark your provider conducts a full evaluation. The target is 50% improvement from your baseline. If that target is met, the program moves into Phase 3. If it isn’t, you’ll have an honest conversation about where to go from here.

Herbal medicine continues throughout — by the end of month one, your formula has been refined from addressing immediate symptoms toward the underlying pattern driving your condition.

Phase 3 — Stabilization + Reintegration  |  Month 2+

Once meaningful progress is confirmed, the focus shifts from generating improvement to making it last. Needling tapers as tissue stabilizes. Movement work — breathwork, Qi Gong, and functional stability training — is introduced to build on the foundation the first month created.

This phase continues as long as progress is being made, with a re-evaluation every 30 days. If progress plateaus, your provider will raise it. The program can be adjusted or discontinued at any evaluation point.

Concurrent Treatment Program

A lower-intensity program built around herbal medicine, regular passive care, and reliable access to support. Designed for patients who are actively working with another provider — or who have completed the Active Treatment Program and are stepping down to maintenance care.

Concurrent Care — Referral Patients

If you’re actively working with a physical therapist or another provider, this program is designed to complement that care without creating financial or scheduling overload. Your PT is focused on building strength and capacity. This program focuses on the tissue and nervous system work that makes that possible — reducing pain load, supporting recovery, and using herbal medicine to support your system from the inside. The two approaches are complementary, not competing.

Transitional Care — Step-Down Patients

If you’ve completed the Active Treatment Program and achieved meaningful, sustained improvement, this program offers a lower-intensity path forward. The heavy lifting is done. This program keeps you connected to care — herbs ongoing, passive treatment twice a month — while your body continues to consolidate the progress you’ve made.

What’s Included

  • Weekly sessions in Month 1, twice monthly from Month 2
  • Acupuncture, dry needling, and manual therapy as clinically indicated
  • Internal herbal medicine throughout — customized and adjusted as needed
  • Standard topical herbal medicine
  • Flare coverage — up to 4 additional sessions in any 30-day window at no extra charge
  • 30-day check-in at end of Month 1
  • Coordination with your referring provider as appropriate

You should not be managing a difficult period without access to care because of cost. Flare coverage is built into this program because setbacks are a normal part of managing a chronic condition — not an exception to it.
